Who we are

Just Pick One. is a movie and TV discovery app operated by Jesse Lee Poljak. This policy covers the app, its website, and support requests. Contact justpickonesupport@gmail.com with privacy questions.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use information to sign you in, confirm your email, reset passwords, save and synchronize your library, find shared picks, manage connections, honor in-app preferences, respond to support requests, and operate and protect the service.

Passwords are handled through Firebase Authentication. Never send your password or verification links to support.

Sharing and service providers

Your name, username, and relevant pick activity appear in connection and shared-pick features. Seen It settings control how the app displays your full Seen It list to connections; titles you both picked can still appear in shared picks. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in your display name or username.

We use Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for accounts and app data, Firebase Hosting for the website, Apple and Google for their optional sign-in methods, and TMDB for movie and TV information and images. These providers process information needed to provide their services. Opening trailers or other external links takes you to services with their own privacy practices.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users and the service.

Invites and messages

Text Invite prepares a message containing a connection code and link in the system message composer. You choose the recipients and whether to send it. Just Pick One does not upload your address book or store the phone numbers you select in the composer. Anyone you share an invite code with may use it to join that connection.

Storage and retention

Account and library data remain while you use your account, until you delete the data or account. Some data is cached on your devices. Our providers may process information outside your country. Support correspondence and limited service records may be retained as needed to handle requests, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. Provider backups and logs follow the relevant provider’s retention practices.

Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your name and username, change Seen It settings, and save those changes in My Profile. Email users can request verification or password-reset emails.

To delete an account, open My Profile → Account Actions → Delete Account and confirm. The app deletes the account’s stored profile and picks, removes its connection memberships, and deletes its authentication account. Connections shared with others may remain for those other members. Signing out alone does not delete an account.

If you cannot access the app, email justpickonesupport@gmail.com to request deletion or ask about accessing or correcting your data. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Rights to access, correct, delete, or otherwise control personal information depend on your location; you may also contact your local privacy regulator.

Children’s privacy

Just Pick One is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact justpickonesupport@gmail.com so we can investigate and address it.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. For significant changes, we may also provide notice in the app or by email.
